Take a break and stay overnight on the way to Bornholm. Just one kilometer south of E 65, with less than 20 minutes left to the ferry, you can sleep well, have a rich breakfast and then come in good time to board. We of course adapt our breakfast meals according to the timetable.
On the way back, you are of course equally welcome. It is always better to start a long drive well rested.

The small zoo with plenty of room for families. In Skårby just outside Ystad and 5 minutes by car from Karlsborg bead & breakfast you will find Ystad zoo.
In the park you can pet the goats, jump in hay, scout with the meerkats, see camels, zebras monkeys etc. It is of course good to bring your own picnic and barbecue in the park.
Don't forget the swimwear. The water park is open from the 1st of June to the 31st of August. You can find more about Ystad Zoo HERE
You will find Mossby beach about 4 km south of Karlsborg. A perfect getaway for hot summer day.
It is possible to go by bike if you have bicycles with you. We strongly recommend a cool evening dip after a long day at Österlen.
At the beach you will also find a local fish smokehouse. Do not miss the smoked salmon, it is well worth a detour. There is also a fast food grill offering food and ice cream.
If you follow the coastal road to the west from mossby you will soon arrive at Hörte Hamn and Hörte Brygga, a restaurant which offers locally produced food - a real taste experience.

Sweden's largest privately owned museum is a technical and general museum. Vintage cars, motorcycles, everyday utility items, games, Sweden's oldest car and much more.
A complete T-Ford workshop describes how to renovate engines and shafts, a forge tells its history and the many small businesslike environments along the streets into the museum tell theirs. A museum well worth a visit!
By car you reach the center of Ystad in about 15 minutes. If you continue east you reach the gate to Österlen, Ale stones, Olof Viktor's bakery, flea markets and antique shops.
Ystad has a lot to offer. The monastery founded in 1267, the S: ta Maria Church, and don´t forget the wonderful street houses and restaurants.
Take a tour with the volunteer fire brigade's fire truck and get to know Ystad and it´s alleys.
